Entertainment & Nightlife in Jordan

The cities of Petra, Wadi Rum, Aqaba, Amman and Jerash offer the best nightlife in Jordan. As the sun sets beyond the horizon, these cities transformed into a sea of neon. The hotels, restaurants and nightclubs are decked up with dazzling neon lights. Against the backdrop of the gathering darkness of the night, large numbers of young people are seen thronging the nightclubs, bars ands pubs in Jordan. The nightclubs have groovy dance floors and hi-tech synchronised lighting. Popular Djs, local and international bands are invited to entertain the crowd by their performances. Here you will get to hear hip hop, rock and Bedouin music. Many of the 4- and 5-star hotels have popular clubs and bars. Often, clubs will only admit couples or mixed groups. There are also theatres and cinemas in Amman and the other major towns.

Great beach parties are held in the lovely Red Sea resort town of Aqaba by the Red Sea. Wadi Rum, a city nestled in the Jordan desert, hosts a dance festival called the Distant Heat. During this festival you can get to dance all nightlong to various types of music, be it rock, metal music, western, Jazz or Bedouin music. The festival continues the following day with beach and pool parties in Aqaba. Entrance fees include a number of drinks, dinner and breakfast. For a small additional fee, visitors can hire tents and camp overnight. Transportation between the two venues is provided.
