Housing in Jordan

Popular area for the expatriate community in Jordan is its capital, Amman, and the resort town of Aqaba. The availability of apartments and houses in the country and particularly in these popular areas varies. Most expatriates rent their apartment or house, although a small number do buy their homes. Both options are available but mainly depend on your company policy, income, and the length of your stay.

The cost of housing varies from area to area, and depending on the size of the house or apartment, you will pay anything from US$13,000-24,000 annually, for a 3 bedroom apartment (furnished) to US$21,000-40,000 annually, for a 4 bedroom apartment. For a furnished house/villa, you will pay US$20,000-57,000 (3 bedrooms) to US$72,000 annually for a 5 bedroom villa and even higher.
